It was agreed that a large public campaign take place in the last few weeks of August as students prepare to return to school in accordance with the plan goals. In addition to the regular outreach on DUI and seatbelt use, this campaign will focus on: Inattentive/Distracted Driving Bicycle and Pedestrian Rules of the Road and safety measuresSince inattentive driving specifically has not previously had a targeted campaign in regards to the City ordinance on hands free device use, and no funding sources have been identified, a budget has been prepared to request City funding for such an intensive outreach. These funds would be distributed and controlled by the Bozeman Police Department. Outreach would include targeting those living inside the City of Bozeman and also include those living outside but regularly traveling to the City. We request that you please include the following line items in the City Budget: $2,000 Up to 10 signs - larger and more visible "hands free” - placement to be determined by the Police in conjunction with City & MDT. $550 Print of 5,000 trifold brochures. $90 4,000 stickers with slogan indicating they are supportive of being “hands free” or against distracted driving. $556 1,000 bumper stickers with slogan indicating they are supportive of being “hands free” or against distracted driving. $1000 Targeted and trackable Digital Geofencing ads for one month $2700 Targeted and trackable Social Media ads for one month $1000 For Creative Implementation of above along with Press Releases.
