HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-14-18 Correspondence - Andrus to Board Members - Incomplete Ethics Training (Verification of Ethical Conduct Form) BOZE MAN MT Mayor Thursday,June 14, 2018 Dear Citizen Advisory Board/Committee Member, The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the City of Bozeman has record of your completion of the annual ethics assessment; however, we require that you complete the "Verification of Ethical Conduct Form" to consider your training complete. To date, we have not received this form. According to the City Charter(Section 7.01(b)), annual training and education of city officials, city boards, and employees must occur regarding the state and city ethics codes. I will give a final deadline of June 29, 2018 at 5:00 PM to complete the "Verification of Ethical Conduct Form." Any board member that has not completed the training by this deadline will be placed on the July 23, 2018 City Commission agenda for removal pursuant to Bozeman Municipal Code Sec. 2.03.600.A.14.b: The city clerk shall forward to the commission annually a list of officials who fail to take the training required under this section and the Charter. The commission may remove an official for failing to take the required training. You will also be mailed a hard copy of this letter to your address on file in case you did not receive our emails. Please note, the City Clerk must have an accurate and monitored email on file for you, so please contact her immediately if you did not receive this information via email.
