Subject:Icon Apartments Comment Period

Dear Bozeman City Commissioners-
As residents of Valley West we ask that the comment period and discussion pertaining to theproposed Icon apartments be reopened. When we heard about the comment period we had
less than 48 hours to respond and I’ve spoken with a number of neighborhood residents whoechoed the same sentiment . Given the size of this development we feel strongly that the
impact on Valley West and adjoining neighborhoods will be enormous and has beenmarginally considered, if at all. Issues concerning traffic flow, parking lots, landscaping,
impact on the Valley West linear park and stream among others have not been clearlyaddressed. The idea that half of “open space” in Icon is being allowed as balconies is
egregious at best. Open space is widely considered to be space for all to use. We feel stronglythat this “plan” is being pushed down our throats with little to no consideration for the
adjoining neighborhoods. Thanking you in advance for your consideration on this importantmatter.
Sincerely,
Robert Dunn & Laura Smith
