Transportation (MDT), Urban Pavement Preservation Project (UPP) for maintenance of Oak Street, Durston Road/Peach Street, Highland Boulevard, and Kagy Boulevard. AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
MEETING DATE: May 21, 2018 RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to execute the Construction and
Maintenance Agreement with the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) for the UPP to take place this summer. BACKGROUND: The Montana Department of Transportation has funds available to perform maintenance activities, chip seals and mill and overlays, on the following streets in Bozeman:
Oak Street from 19th Avenue to North 7th Avenue, Durston Road/Peach Street from 19th Avenue to Rouse Avenue, Highland Boulevard from Kagy Boulevard to Curtiss Street, and Kagy Boulevard from Willson Avenue to Fort Ellis Road. The work will be done this summer. The agreement has been exhaustively reviewed by the legal department as well as by engineering. The responsibilities detailed are identical with activities we are already performing, hence we are
recommending entering into this agreement. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None. FISCAL EFFECTS: None.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
