To Whom It May Concern,
RE: New Bozeman High School
Proposed Agency Exemption(s)per Montana Code Annotated (MCA) 76-2-402
Regarding your proposed adjustments and requests for Exemptions for the design/plan of the new Bozeman high
school,we and our residential community of Flanders Creek, and more particularly those of us with residential
homes on N.Cottonwood Road, are very disappointed that you are considering the Exemptions as noted on the
copy of your attached Bozeman Planning Notice mailed to us 4/10/2018, in light of us approving your original
design.
Having the new high school built across the street from our residential homes will have a large impact on our
community which we are willing to accept, but your request for exemptions to allow off-site parking and the five
additional points of cutting back on landscaping and irrigation are not acceptable.
We would hope that you will reconsider and be considerate of the residential community surrounding the new high
school in an effort to keep the parking, irrigation and landscaping requirements in place that have already been
approved. The residential community would like to look upon this new high school in a positive light and not have
our lives and the community impacted by your decisions to make short-cuts noted in your proposed exemptions.
Surely, there is a solution to this. Surely you are able to find a way to maintain the dignity and privacy of the
Flanders Creek community, most particularly those of us who reside on N.Cottonwood Road. And surely, you
would want to maintain the standards set by Bozeman MT Planning for the beautification of our streets and
communities, and for the students, faculty and staff of the school, as we are also required to do as residents of
Bozeman.
Per copied from the Bozeman Planning Board web-page-please note the provisions already accepted by The
Planning Division:
Why Bozeman Plans

• Support economic development
Thank you for your time and consideration and we hope you will reconsider your proposed Exemptions.
