1. 17597 “Pile B” Zone Text Amendments (Rogers)
Citywide. Zone text amendments to modify various standards in Chapter 38 of the Bozeman
Municipal Code initiated by the City Commission.
Staff Report
Provisional Adoption Ordinance 1994
06:02:55 PM (00:01:59) Planner Tom Rogers provided a brief overview of each of the 9
amendments proposed in relation to the 5 separate context areas including: 1)
Neighborhood; 2) Accessory Dwelling Units; 3) Cottage Housing Standards; 4) Separation
area between Medical Marijuana and public/private schools; 5) Off‐Site Parking distance for
residential development. These changes were a result of Commission action during the UDC
update process.

06:37:45 PM (00:36:49) MOTION: Having reviewed and considered the application
materials, public comment, and all the information presented, I hereby adopt the findings
presented in the staff report for application 17597 and move to recommend that the City
commission adopt Ordinance 1994 the Pile B zone text amendment: Chris Scott

2. 18011 Transitional Emergency Housing (Rogers)
Zone text amendments initiated by the City Commission during consideration of the Unified
Development Code (UDC) update project to create a new residential use and assign it to
specific zoning districts with associated review standards and procedures.

06:41:23 PM (00:40:27) Planner Rogers provided a brief description of what is being
proposed for Transitional Emergency Housing. Following the presentation, board members
held a general discussion and Rogers responded to questions.
07:03:01 PM (01:02:05) Tracy Minuet of HRDC and attorney, Susan Riggs, spoke on behalf of
the applicant.
07:07:12 PM (01:06:16) MOTION: Having reviewed and considered the application
materials, public comment, and all the information presented, I hereby adopt the findings
presented in the staff report for application 18011 and move to recommend that the City
commission adopt Ordinance 1997, the Transitional and Emergency Zone Text Amendment:

Annexation of 3.12 acres and amendment to the City Zoning Map for the establishment of a
zoning designation of M‐1 “Light Manufacturing”.

proposed and reviewed the zoning criteria used for evaluation.
07:18:32 PM (01:17:36) Saunders held a Q&A session with board members regarding the
project.
07:19:33 PM (01:18:37) Applicant answered board members’ questions.
07:20:46 PM (01:19:50) MOTION: Having reviewed and considered the application
materials, public comment, and all the information presented, I hereby adopt the findings
presented in the staff report for application 17423 and move to recommend approval of the
Ziegler map amendment with contingencies required to complete the application process.
