Dear Bozeman City Commission,
My name is Peter DiCola and I am a student at Headwaters Academy. I am
writing to you about the usage of plastic bags in the city of Bozeman, Montana. I
love the city and it surroundings I hope it stays this way forever and it's not
covered in plastic.
I am writing to you about the usage of plastic bags in Bozeman. In class
we watched a movie called A Plastic Ocean and in the movie they showed how
much plastic was in the ocean and how much animals were dying because of the
plastic. In the movie they showed many animals dying such as whales, birds and
fish, and seeing this made me want to do something. Birds are eating plastic then
going to the ocean and dying. I love waking up and seeing all the bald eagles.
There are many ways to stop this extinction from happening. I think that if
the city commision charges 10 cents per plastic bag, it would help the Earth and
all of the animals dying from plastic. I hope you take this seriously.
Sincerely,
Peter DiCola
