COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 4902
GRANT APPLICATION TO THE KaBOOM! ORGANIZATION FOR INSTALLATION
OF A VOLUNTEER-BUILT PLAYGROUND AT THE BOZEMAN SPORTS PARK
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4521 approved the allocation of Trails, Open Space and
Parks (TOP) bond funding in an amount not to exceed $7,500,000 for the acquisition park land
and development of the Bozeman Sports Park ; and
WHEREAS, the KaBOOM! Organization administers a grant program with funding
available for volunteer-built playground construction; and
WHEREAS, a playground is included on the approved Master Site Plan for the
Bozeman Sports Park;
WHEREAS, Grant No. 2018-007 application has been approved by the City Manager,
Finance Director, and Director of Parks and Recreation in compliance with Administrative Order
2014-001; and
WHEREAS, the Bozeman Sports Parks Foundation has committed to providing the
matching funds necessary for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman,Montana,that the Commission hereby approves of the submittal of the grant application
to the KaBOOM! Organization for installation of a volunteer-built playground at the Bozeman
Sports Park, with the required match being provided by the Bozeman Sports Parks Foundation.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 161h day of April, 2018.
