I am pleased that you have included affordable housing as part of this vision. It is a sorely needed part of
our growing economy and a means to create more diversity in our population. The idea of encouraging
major employers to create workforce housing is also very important.
I would suggest in section 3 that you specifically say something about accepting immigrants and others
from diverse cultures so Bozeman children can be ready for the world they will encounter. As a member of
Gallatin Refugee Connections, I know f rom personal conversations that many in our community miss the
diversity of ethnicities in places they came from. It is important to create a welcoming atmosphere to
create a more diverse community as well as acceptance for our Native American residents.
