It is not often that an elected official voices a “politically incorrect” opinion that
counters people who could affect his salary. I respect and commend you for taking
a stand on the proposed (being discussed) Justice Building.
It makes no sense to build two buildings when there could be so much shared
common space in one building (and therefore reduce the total cost). It would be
fiscally irresponsible. It would also save a tremendous amount of time for all of the
people in the Justice work force from the City and County who need to interact.
As a taxpayer who owns a home and 8 rental units in the County, it is very
important to us that our tax dollars are spent wisely and that any required tax
increases are sensible and logical. The City council and County Commissioners need
to “put personal feelings and politics aside” and smarten up if they wish to get re
elected.
