Adlington - Law and Justice CenterFrom:Ron Adlington To:Brian.Gootkin@gallatin.mt.gov Cc:Agenda; commission@gallatin.mt.gov Subject:recent editorial comment in the April 1, 2018 Bozeman Chronicle Date:Tuesday, April 03, 2018 6:52:21 PM Sheriff Gootkin It is not often that an elected official voices a “politically incorrect” opinion that counters people who could affect his salary. I respect and commend you for taking a stand on the proposed (being discussed) Justice Building. It makes no sense to build two buildings when there could be so much shared common space in one building (and therefore reduce the total cost). It would be fiscally irresponsible. It would also save a tremendous amount of time for all of the people in the Justice work force from the City and County who need to interact. As a taxpayer who owns a home and 8 rental units in the County, it is very important to us that our tax dollars are spent wisely and that any required tax increases are sensible and logical. The City council and County Commissioners need to “put personal feelings and politics aside” and smarten up if they wish to get re elected. Respectfully Ron Adlington (We met a couple of times at “Old Farts”) 94 Hardin Ln 59718 PS Sheriff Gootkin, if you would email me your address, I would like to send a contribution for your re election campaign fund.
