To the Bozeman City Commission
Gallatin County Commission
Sheriff Gootkin
I have read Sunday’s guest column from Sheriff Gootkin. I voted in favor of the law and justice bond measure, because
of the cooperative effort that was made. I so very much agree with the Sheriff. It makes no sense to build a separate
county courthouse. Having a city justice center on Rouse and a county law and justice center in the current location will
cost more, and take away the ability to collaborate. Our commissions have been elected to do what is best for us
citizens, not what is easiest for their egos, or costs the least amount of their time.
I would appreciate everyone to set an example here in our Gallatin Valley as to how people can cooperate, indeed,
quoting sheriff Gootkin, putting politics and personal feelings aside and stay together!
We do indeed deserve better!
