Architects need to be excluded from the Design Review Board. The types of buildings going up in downtown
such as the Element Hotel are an affront to the dignity of the existing historical buildings and disgusting
abominations not easily transformed to something more appealing. Also there needs to be language
specifying that this city needs real public transit, no the confusing, convoluted bus routes we have now. We
need light trollies that go up and down Main and 7th and 19th. And more infill around the big box stores to
make walking more feasible. Also there should be language guaranteeing neighborhood input regarding all
new developments, this is a democracy.
