Rouse Ave. Bozeman, MT First Name Carolyn Last Name Hopper Email Address cowgirl@bresnan.net Phone Number 4065569775 Comments Hello Commissioners, This is my third attempt to contact the Commissioners regarding an issue that is not development, including more paved over land in our city due to industry, houses and roads. I am wondering why you have not been addressing any concerns regarding our natural beauty. There is going to be more and more reduction in song bird reproduction, in song birds, in any bird or animal or plant that is not invasive grass vs native grasses, aggressive and invasive species of birds like pigeons. Will we be a city of pigeons? and less of natural beauty that also means habitat for birds, plants, animals? Why is your stated focus on more and more commercial buildings with non native cement walks, non native plantings? People do not move here for a building design or size. Our mountain views are being blocked. Good farming land lost to houses. Some waterways are being restored while you allow and encourage the draining of wetlands - such as over by the interstate where there is a sign for commercial development. You must stop draining wetlands and encouraging building near them. I guess you are not aware of what lives there. And why does it have little or no value to you as it appears? Affordable housing unit designer and builders should not be allowed close to wetlands. And one last comment regarding your discussion to consider hiring a communicator? Are you now the Trump administration who needs someone to mix up messages and interpret them for us? We are not a stupid community . Have the courage to speak to us directly, not through an interpreter. Don't hide communications like Senator Daines does and then pretend you have told us what you are planning. That money you would ask for in a salary is wasted money. In conclusion - I am hoping to hear from all commissioners their stand on land that supports natural beauty in city limits. I am perplexed as to why this has not been addressed after my letter to you and an LTE because I had not heard back.
