PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structurelsite,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one story single—family residence in the foursquare working—man's
cottage style has a square plan with a gabled front entry hood and a hip—roofed
rear enclosed porch. The one—bay facade is symmetrical with slightly off—center
front glassed-paned entrance sheltered by a gabled bracketed hood and flanked by
two double-hung one-over-one windows. The front entrance has a concrete porch
stoop. The frame construction is finished in green asbestos shingles and rests
on a concrete foundation. The pyramidal hipped roof is covered with light grey
asphalt shingles and features slightly over-hanging eaves and a central metal
stove pipe, and a brick exterior rear chimney. Outbuildings include a small
detached garage with novelty siding and a stepped parapet at the sides.

Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within
a potential historic district due to its association with the residential
aspect of the Civic Phase of Bozeman's historic/architectural development.
