Discuss significant architectural features. This detached 12-story single-family residence has a square plan with projecting front entry porch, hipped rear addition and an enclosed rear porch. The facade is asymmetrical and consists of a central carved wood, glass-paned entrance flanked by one fixed window and one double-hung window with 1/1 sash arrangement, a front entry porch with gablet centering device, with a roof formed by extension of the south slope of the gable roof. A double-hung 1/1 window marks the second half-story gable end, which is decorated with square-cut and fishscale shingles and features returning eaves. The frame construction is finished in drop siding and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and features an extended flared slope to the south and a south-facing cross-gable with returning eaves. Alterations include a concrete front porch with metal pole supports , and the new concrete foundation and basement. Outbuildings include a large shed of frame construction and gable roof. Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of Bozeman' s historic/architectural development.
