This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a T-shaped
plan with a gable-roofed enclosed front entry. The facade is asymmetrical
and consists of an off-center front entrance flanked by an exterior stone
chimney and casement and fixed windows. The frame construction is finished
in stucco and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered
with red asphalt shingles and lies parallel to the street. There is a flat-
roof addition to the left rear.

A typical example of a 1930's Tudor Revival style house relative to this street,
this house was probably built for Dean C. Chaffin, Presdient and manager of
the northern Automobile Co. Harry L. Prigge, whose name appears on the water
permit for this site, may have been involved with the financing or construction
of this house. His name appears in no city directories.
