PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials. Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family porch and gable-fronted cottage
has a rectangular plan with a hipped front porch and large bay window with gable
roof to one side. There is a shed-roofed addition to the rear. The one-bay
facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with a three-sided
bay projecting onto the porch with 1/1 double- hung windows. The porch is supported
by three turned posts. The parapet, steps and floor are wood and lattice forms
the base. The frame construction is finished in white novelty siding and rests
on a rubble foundation. The gable roof is covered with green-grey asphalt
shingles and features boxed eaves and two brick chimneys and a metal stovepipe.
The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street.
