PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a T-shaped plan
with a hip-roofed corner entry porch which has one turned column. The two-bay
facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset glass-paned front entrance with
fixed and 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in brick,
with shingles in the gable ends and vertical cedar siding. It rests on a low
rubble-stone foundation. The gable and hipped combination roof is covered with
cedar shingles and has one rear brick chimney. The vertical cedar siding is
a recent alteration. Outbuildings include two sheds.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site
and surrounding area lend the property significance.
This residence was built by Andrew J. Svorkmoe and Nels Raverley for L.
Reese Wells. Svorkmoe, a builder and contractor, built homes, many of them
brick, on the south side including many on South Willson, Grand and Third
Avenues.
Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a
potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect
of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic development and with an historical
person.
INTEGRITY: Assess the degree to which the structure/site,and surrounding area accurately convey the historical associations of the
property.
The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival
of original design and continuity of use, setting and location.
