PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a T-shaped plan.
The single-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off=center glass-paned
front entrance with fixed and 1/1 double-hung windows. The fixed window in the
front has a leaded and stained glass window on the top section. The frame con-
struction is finished in drop siding and rests on a low concrete foundation.
The gable roof is covered with dark green asphalt shingles and has one metal
stovepipe and two masonry chimneys. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to
the street. Outbuildings include a garage and shed.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site
and surrounding area lend the property significance.
This residence was built by Andrew J. Svorkmoe and John Baverley for C. W.
Sprague. Svorkmoe, a builder and contractor built homes, many of them brick,
on the south side including many on South Willson, Grand and Third Avenues.
Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a
potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect
of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development, and with
an historical person.

property.
The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival
of original design and materials and continuity of use, setting and location.
