PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials. Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family porch and gable-fronted
cottage has a rectangular plan with a hip-roofed front porch and a shed-roofed
addition to the rear. The one-bay facade is symmetrical and consists of a central
glass-paned front entrance flanked by two double-hung 1/1 windows and
fixed windows. The porch is supported by three wood posts and has an open
wood railing. The frame construction is finished in shiplap siding and rests on
a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with light brown asphalt
shingles and features overhanging, boxed eaves. There is one metal stovepipe.
The axisof the roof is perpendicular to the street. Alterations include
possible solar collectors on one side. Outbuildings include a small house and
shed in back.

Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any
significant historical information concerning persons or events
associated with this property.
Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a
potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect
of the Civic Phase of Bozeman' s historic/architectural development.

original design and materials.
