Moran Department of Sanitation I% o c,H PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square plan. The facade consists of fixed and casement windows, slightly off`,set gable entry and a nine- light front entrance. Simple brackets support the gabled entry hood. The frame construction is finished in wood-simulated aluminum siding and the house rests on a concrete foundation. The gabled roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features one south-facing gabled dormer. A metal stove pipe is offset to the rear and the front gabled end has returning eaves. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. A gable entrance identical to the one at the front of the house is situated to the side at the rear of the house. A detached, flat- roofed, drop-sided double garage is located to the rear of the lot adjoined by a small shed. Another small drop sided shed is located to the north - also at the rear of the lot. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect o the Civic Phase of Bozeman' s historic/architectural development.
