PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This one-story single-family residence has a square plan. The facade is symmetrical and consists of central gabled entrance with two flanking fixed windows. A modern 12-panelled door is accessed by concrete stairs with metal railing. The gabled hood is bracketed and has exposed rafters. The frame construction is finished in asbestos shingles and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features a metal stovepipe, exposed rafters and overhanging eaves. The axis of the roof is parallel to the street. Brick planters are a later addition at the base of the facade. A double garage on the adjoining property appears to be shared by this structure. The house on the adjoining property is almost identical to the one just described. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any signifitant historical information concerning persons or events associateu with this property. Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Nationalization Phase of Bozeman's historic/architectural development. INTEGRITY: Assess the degree to which the structure/site,and surrounding area accurately convey the historical associations of the property. The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival of original design and materials, and the continuity of use, setting and location.
