This detached one-story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with a
hood on brackets over the front entry. The one-bay facade is symmetrical and
consists of a central entrance with 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame
construction is finished in clapboard and rests on a concrete foundation. The
gable roof is covered with brown interlocking shingles and features boxed eaves.
There are two interior brick chimneys. The axis of the roof is perpendicular
to the street.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site

This residence property was built for Fred Buchler, a part owner in the
Tivoli saloon with Rudolph Vogel, located on 17 East Main. Buchler died
in 1894.
This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic
district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic
Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
