Discuss significant architectural features. This detached two-and-one-half story single family residence has a rectangular plan with a projecting gabled entry. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front entrance with 4/1 double-hungwindows on the first floor and 1/1 double hung windows on the upper two floors. The frame construction is finished in beveled siding on the first and second floors and stucco on the third floor and dormers. It rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with green asphalt shingles and features three dormers and overhanging eaves with exposed rafters. There is one central brick chimney and one exterior brick chimney. The axis of the roof is parallel to the street. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. This property was the first residence to be build for use as a fraternity house for Montana State College students. Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Progressive Phase of Bozeman's historic/architectural development.
