PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions, alterations, and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This one-and-one-half story single-family residence has elements of the Bungalow
Style. It has a square plan with shed-roofed front entry porch and shed-roofed
rear addition. The first floor facade is assymetrical but the second story is
symmetrical. The entrance porch is offset to the left with double and triple
wood columns rising from the porch parapet. Stairs to the right provide access
to the slightly offset front entrance. The entrance is flanked by two fixed
windows and the one on the right is a large picture window although not in-
consistent with the style of the structure. The upper half-story consists
of a hipped dormer with a pair of double hung one-over-one windows. The
frame construction is finished in beveled siding and rests on a concrete
foundation. The gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features
front facing hipped dormer covered in square shingles. These are overhanging
and rafters are exposed. The axis of the roof is parallel to the street. An
additionadesign feature is a square bay window on the south side which projects
without resting on its own foundation. The bay window has a shed roof as does
a small rear entrance porch. The garage of similar materials is located to the
rear of the lot.
