PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence with elements of the
chalet style has a rectangular plan with the original corner-cut entry now
enclosed to complete the rectangle. The one-bay facade is asymmetrical and
consists of an offset glass-paned front entrance with double-hung windows with
a 4/1 sash arrangement. Decorative shutters adorn the upper gable and windows
in the front. The frame construction is finished in 14" weather-boarding and
rests on a stucco over lath low foundation. The gable roof is covered with
composition shingles and features one shed-roofed dormer and large bracket
cornice on the overhanging eaves. There are two central interior brick
chimneys. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Additions
include a shed-roofed enclosed porch at the rear. Outbuildings include a
garage.

Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant
historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property.
Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potent al
historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the
Nationalization Phase of Bozeman' s historic/architectural development.
