The single-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front door with a fixed window. The frame construction is finished in clapboard siding and rests on a concrete (not visible) foundation. The gable roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and has a bay window on one side. Research in the sources consulted in 'this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Matt Cohen 207 Lindley Revision 1985 Now non-contributing due to alteration, this small house may have been built as early as the early 1880's for a worker at the lumber year that was located on the east side of the street until about 1890. A similar house is shown on this site on the 1884 Bird's Eye View and the lumber yard is clearly depicted across the street. Joseph M. Lindley, a real estate and insurance agent, and one of the developers responsible for platting this street, Lindley Place, is listed at this address in 1904. While Lindley may have lived here temporarily when his third house, 201 Lindley next door, was being built, the listing may be an error, 202 Lindley Place being Lindley's correct address in 1904. The single-bay fagade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front door with a large plate glass fixed window. There are two rear additions to the original square plan that extend the building to the West. The first addition is historical in age. Also,there is a smaller addition to the South side of the house,under a shed roof. The frame construction is finished in wood shingle siding and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with gray asphalt shingles. On the West side there is a detached single-story garage with a square plan and a gable roof.
