Matt Cohen 213 Lindley Place Revision 1985 This simple turn-of-the-century house, which appears to have been stuccoed around 1930, is now non-contributing due to alteration to the porch and fenestration. The earliest known owner, possibly the original owner, was George P. Dier, a travel agent, and president of the Bozeman Grocery Co. , in 1900. Dier's name appears on several sewer and water permits for houses built in the Cooper Park Historic District in the 1930's, and in this district around 1905, suggesting that he may have been involved in speculative development of real estate. From about 1904 to about 1930, the house was occupied by Lewis S. Thorpe - a civil engineer, and by 1927 the city engineer. Bibliography Application for Sewer Connection: July 24, 1904, George P.
