This detached one=story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with an open front porch with a hipped roof. The porch is supported by wood posts on a solid railing and features an eyebrow gable over the front steps. The one-bay facade is symmetrical and consists of a central front entrance with fixed and double-hung 1/1 windows. The frame con- struction is finished in bevel siding and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with black asphalt shingles and features over- hanging eaves and exposed rafters. There is one metal stovepipe. The axis ,I of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Matt Cohen 217 Lindley Place Revision 1985 This well preserved, simple Bungalow style house was probably built around 1919 by F.A. Anderson. From about 1927 through 1942, and probably longer, the house was occupied by J. Lewis Gracey, listed as a "printer and public administrator". Despite its simplicity, the house displays several hallmarks of the Bungalow I style, such as a shingled gable separated from a clapboard low block by a fascia f board, exposed rafter tails, a shallow, rectangular oriel window, and a pedimented, hip roofed porch with exposed rafter tails and a clapboard apron. It is one story,two-family residence with a rectangular plan. It has an open, wooden, front porch with solid railing and a hipped roof covered by asphalt shingles and features exposed rafters. The roof of the porch is supported by four square wooden posts and features an eyebrow gable over the wooden front steps that have simple railing. The one-bay fayade is symmetrical and consists of a central front entrance with 2/2 double-hung windows. On the south side of the house,there is a bay window with a shed roof. On the same side a second entrance leads to the basement apartment. The doors and the windows of the building have simple trim. The house features a central brick chimney and stovepipe. The frame construction is finished in bevel siding and rests on a concrete foundation. The house has a gable roof with overhanging eaves and exposed rafters.
