This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has an ell-
shapted plan with an open shed-roofed front porch on one corner. The
two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance
with fixed and 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame constructon is finished
in bevel. siding and rests on a rubble stone foundation. Th a e roo
is covered with blue-green asphalt shingles and features dormers an overhang'nc
eaves. There is one metal stovepipe. There is one addition to the rear.
Outbuildings include a barn.

This typical, trigabled, vernacular house is well preserved overall, retains
it original porch, and is a typical component in this very cohesive streetscape.
The. original occupant may have been Ca pt. H.McComb, a dentist, McComb was listed
as living nearby at 11 E. Olive in 1900, and at this address in 1904. - By 1910
he had moved.
