This detached one-story single-family residence has a square plan with an enclosed front porch with a flat roof. The two bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance flanked by 8-paned and 3-paned fixed windows and 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in stucco and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and has one exterior brick chimney. Outbuildings include a garage. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Matt Cohen 309 Lindley Revision 1985 An interesting combination of 1880's and 1930's architectural design, this small house gained a shallow bay window, various detailing, and a bright blue stucco finish around 1930. Though the original owner may have been Biggs, by 1892, Albert E. Davidson was living here, and remained until sometime between 1912 and 1916. Davidson was listed variously as the superintendent of the city water works, the manager of the same, proprietor of a bowling alley, and an electrician, between 1892 and 1912. The two-bay faeade is asymmetrical,has an off-center front entrance that is part of the enclosed front porch to the left and two 1/1 double-hung windows to the right. The front entrance is flanked by eight paned windows. The porch has a shed roof covered by corrugated sheet metal with exposed rafters. The existing porch has been rebuild to look the same as before. On the north side there is a second entrance with a hood and a concrete stoop. There are two brick chimneys; one is found on the West Side and one on the north side. The frame is finished in stucco and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered in asphalt shingles.
