PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has an
L-shaped plan with an open front porch covered by a shed roof and supported
by two posts. The railing is solid and covered with siding. The porch
is in the inner joint of the ell . There is also a shed-roofed back
porch. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset
glass-paned front entrance flanked by a double-hung 2/2 window in the
recessed bay and one double-hung window with a 2/2 sash arrangement at
both levels of the one-and-one-half story bay. The frame construction
is finished in clapboard and the foundation is not visible. The gable
and hipped roofs are covered with blue-purple asphalt shingles and
feature boxed eaves. There is one central brick chimney. The axis
of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings include a
shed.

of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
