PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has an L-shaped plan with an open front porch covered by a shed roof and supported by two posts. The railing is solid and covered with siding. The porch is in the inner joint of the ell . There is also a shed-roofed back porch. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset glass-paned front entrance flanked by a double-hung 2/2 window in the recessed bay and one double-hung window with a 2/2 sash arrangement at both levels of the one-and-one-half story bay. The frame construction is finished in clapboard and the foundation is not visible. The gable and hipped roofs are covered with blue-purple asphalt shingles and feature boxed eaves. There is one central brick chimney. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings include a shed. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. 6 Significance: This property qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
