A very fine example of the Bungalow style, this hip roofed house displays ornate
exposed rafter tails, and three hip dormers, characteristic of the style. The
6/1 sash windows enclosing the porch are also significant elements of the style.
The house was probably built in 1910 for George W. Roby, a clerk at the post
office, who lived here from about that time and into the 1940 's. Roby had formerly
i lived at 415 N. Tracy.
