This detached one-and-one-half story'single famil residence has an irregular plan with enclose en�i n-c-tew d gable-roofed additions to the side and rear.,' Th two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset glass-paned��side- acing front entrance with three double-hung windows of a 1/1 sash arrangement in the entranceway. There is also one double-hung 3/1 window on the facade, as well as three windows in the other addition-facade, one fixed and two double-hung 3/1 . The f �me construction is finished in wide siding, white on the first story and/ °"`" on the second half. The house rests on a concrete foundation. " The gable roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and features boxed eaves. There has been remodeling and additions. Tracy Ave. 1985 Revision Matt Cohen Although of only moderate architectural significance due to a c, 1940 remodeling of the frist floor, this house is one of the oldest in the district. A similar house is shown on this site in the 1898 bird's eye view with a small gable wall dormer above the entrance. The house was probably built by William M. Toepper, a carpenter from Germany who arrived in Montana in 1884. Toepper lived in this house until about 1920. Bibliography Application for Sewer Connection: April 18, 1911, W.M. A one and a half story addition is to the east. The one bay facade is symmetrical and consists of a central front enclosed entry, with enclosure: (1/1)(1/1 ,1/1 ,1/1) windows; first floor: (1/1)(1/1) windows. The frame construction is clad in clapboard siding, asbestos shingles and rests on a concrete foundation. The addition is clad in clapboard siding. The gable roof is covered by asphalt shingles, has a gable roof over the addition, two gabled dormers and a skylight facing south, and boxed eaves. The main axis of the roof is parallel to the street. Outbuildings include a garage to the east, with a gable roof, frame construction, and clad in vinyl siding. Families? Plan? Symmetry?
