This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square plan with an open front porch with four square, posts and a solid railing. I There is also a bay window on the side and an enclosed back porch. The one- bay facade is asymmetrical and consist of a central front entrance and four double-hung windows of either a _ or 2/1 arrangement. ,'The frame i construction is finished in white bev led iding and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered—with grey asphalt shingles and features exposed rafters. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Tracy Ave. 1985 Revision Matt Cohen I This fine example of the Bungalow style, which is well preserved with the exception ! of the siding, is one of the earliest houses built by local carpenter Lou F. Sie- vert. As typical of Bozeman's early 20th Century builders, Sievert lived in this house temporarily, until it was sold. He later moved into 512 S. Tracy next door, which he built in 1932. Sievert also built 518 N. Tracy. Other residents of this house after Sievert were Russell D. Aldridge, a mailman, in 1933 and Leif C. Young, who ran a second hand goods business in 1935. A one story addition is to the east. The one bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of a front wood and glass entry, with first floor: (3/1)(2/1,3/2/2,2/1) windows; second floor: (5) window. The frame construction is clad in beveled siding and rests on a concrete foundation. The addition is clad in same. The gable roof is covered by asphalt shingles, has open eaves, features decorative beams, and has a central brick chimney with a metal cover. The main axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings include a garage to the east, with a gable roof, frame construction, and clad in vinyl siding.
