One of the only two examples of this unusual house type in Bozeman, which was
probably derived from a pattern book, this house is very well preserved, and
is an important element in the streetscape. The house, which consists of an
L-plan main block connected by a quarter-round,
Queen the entrance at the central angle, was probably ntended Anne style
tconstrruction over
a corner lot. This house however, occupies a lot in the middle of the block.
The only other example of this house type in the city, 221 S. 7th Ave. , stands
on a corner lot. In 1916, George Nelson, a mailman, was living here.
