Tracy Ave. 1985 Revision !� Matt Cohen A fine example of the Bungalow style with a jerkin head roof typical of the 19301s, this house was probably built by Lou Sievert, as were 512 and 514 N. Tracy next to it. The earliest occupant was apparently Cecil L. Sievert, also a carpenter and probably a relative of Lou F. Sievert. J 518 North Tracy Avenue This detached one and a half story single family residence has a square plan, a recessed front porch with a solid beveled rail and two square posts, and features a bay window facing north. An attached garage is to the north. The one bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front decorated wood and glass entry, with first floor: (3/1 ,3/1)(3/1 ,3/1) windows; second floor: (3) window. The frame construction is clad in beveled siding with corner boards, wood shingles in the gable, and rests on a concrete foundation. The hip on gable roof is covered by asphalt shingles, has open eaves, features decorative beams, a gargoyle in the gable, and a central corbeled brick chimney. Outbuildings include an attached garage to the north, with a shed roof, frame construction, and clad in beveled siding.
