This one-and-one-half story double-family residence has an irregular plan with an open front porch on one corner under a hipped roof. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with 1/1 double-hung windows and a stained-glass transomed fixed window. The frame construction is finished in beveled siding with imbricated shingles in the gable ends. The gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and the foundation is of rubble stone. There is a corbelled chimney through the roof and and end chimney of brick. Outbuildings include a garage and shed. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structurelsite and surrounding area lend the property significance. This property is significant because it is associated with a person important to Bozeman history, Michael Langehr., who arrived in Montana from Michigan in 1881 and established a fruit and grocery business in Bozeman in 1892. When he purchased this house in 1902 he began growing produce himself and expanded into a commercial floral and fruit business. When he added greenhouses to the west and south of this house, the only other structure in the block was at 303 South Tracy. Langohr's Nursery expanded enough so that by the mid 1920' s , the business would move to its present location at 1 1100 South Tracy. I This structure is potentially eligible for the National Register because of its historical associations and because of its architectural significance. The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival of original design and materials and continuity of use, setting and location.
