This detached two-and-one-half story multi-family residence has an ell-shaped plan with a facade-width enclosed front entrance porch and an awning over a second entrance. to one side of the front facade. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of fixed windows on the main floor and 1/1 double-hung windows on the second floor. A similar, smaller double-hung windows is - located centrally in the gable end of the upper half-story. The frame construction is finished in wood siding and rests on a foundation that is not visible. The gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features returning boxed eaves that flare out into overhanging eaves on the sides. Tracy This prominently located house is of only marginal significance due to the enclosure of the full front porch, but is otherwise well preserved. The ho was built in about 1904 by Ethelbert A. Maynard, a rancher. Maynard and his family remained here until about 1930. Edwin E. Howard, proprietor of the Ed Howard Co. Clothing Store, shared the house with the Maynards in the j late 1920' s.
