HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons, important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site
and surrounding area lend the property significance.
i
I
One of a group of three impressive Bungalows, this house has unfortunately
been altered with three picture windows dod replace menz iron porch posts.
The house is of marginal significance due to alterations, although it
is nevertheless a contributing building within the South Tracy-South Black
Historic District due to its role in; this grouping of Bungaloid houses.
Tolbert M. Perrin, proprieter of the Perrin Jewelry Store at 30 E. Main,
lived in this house during the later 1920' s and 1930' s, although
earlier residents are not known at this time.
All three houses in this small grouping,j may be the work of local carpenter
Guy A. Ensinger. If so, they certainly represent tho. most ambitious and most
notable examples of that builder' s work in the city.
