This detached two-story single-fami-ly upright-and-wing structure in the porch-and- gable fronted farmhouse style has an .ell-shaped plan with an L-shaped porch 'wrapped _ around the northeast corner of the projecting front bay. The porch features turned posts , balustrades and a gablet with:nietal finial-ball . The two-bay facade .is asymmetri 6111 and consists-of an angled -front entrance faci6g'diagonally to the northeast, and fixed and .1/1 double-hung windows. A fixed windows with a leaded glass transom faces the street. The frame construction is finished in asbestos shingles and rests on a low concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features metal ridgepoles with, finial balls and overhanging eaves. There is a central brick chimney and a central stovepipe. Tracy This typical "Tri-gabled Homestead" or "Upright and Wing" vernacular house is well-preserved, with the exception of the siding. It was 1 probably built by Fred C. Jacobs, variously listed as a lather and j contractor. Jacobs previously lived in, and perhaps built, 415 S. Tracy, a similar vernacular house.
