Tracy Despite the unfortunate installation of a large picture window, a major detracting feature, this house is nevertheless a fine example of early 20th century residential design. It is one of a group of three Fred Willson designed houses (501 and 509 S. Tracy being the others) which are pro- minently located where Story Street.meets S. Tracy Avenue. The house was built in about 1914 for George R. Calloway, the Secretary of Montana State College. By 1927, Calloway had moved, and Eleanor McRoberts, widow of John T. McRoberts , was living here. The builder of the house was probably Elmer L. Bartholomew, whose name appears on the Sewer Permit for this site. Bartholomew was Bozeman 's most significant early 20th century house carpenter, and is known to have collaborated with local architect Fred F. Willson on several houses in the city. The house is similar in overall form to "House Design No. 1525" in Hodgson' s house pattern catalog (see appendix) . jBibliography s Application for Sewer Connection, June 16, 1914, George Calloway, E.
