This detached one-story double-family residence has a rectangular plan with a
gable-roofed enclosed front porch. The one-bay facade is symmetrical and consists
of a central entrance with 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is
finished in shiplap siding and shingles in the gable ends. It rests on a
concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with green asphalt shingles and
has overhanging eaves and two brick chimney, one exterior and one interior. The
axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. The front porch was enclosed
during later remodelings. Outbuildings include a two-car garage.

This typical , modest Bungalow was built around 1921 by Lester
Nelson, between two other Nelson family houses , 312 and 320 S.
Black. Lester, and his brother Frank, who lived in 312 S. Black,
ran the "Nelson Bros. " livery and cab company next door at 320
S. Black.
By 1927, W. Ray Deem, proprietor of the Deem Garage (auto repairing)
lived here.
