A typical example of a 1930' s Bungalow style house, this house was
probably built by Christian W. Wentler for himself and his wife,
Katherine E. Wentler, in 1930. The asbestos shingle sheathing is
the only significant alteration. Wentler, listed variously as a
"Contractor" and "Cement Contractor" , took on various boarders
through the 1930' s and 1940' s, such as Ingvert D. Rhoades, a sales-
man, and his wife, Ruth G. Rhoades, and Sarah N. Barnes , Director
of Health at Montana State College, in 1933.
