415 S. Black
This steep-gabled building, which has undergone nearly complete
alteration of the fenestration and is therefore, non-contributing
to the district, nevertheless has historical significance as the
original Seventh Day Adventist-Church.
The small building just to the north, 411 S. Black, was apparently
a school associated with this church, both of which were built around
1904. Just to the south, at 417 S. Black, the church built a small
library and office. By about that time, the church was shared by
the Seventh Day Adventists and the First Evangical Lutheran Church.
The Seventh Day Adventist Church relocated to 24 N.15th Ave. in 1961,
when this building became a residence.
