This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with an enclosed shed-roofed front porch. Windows are casement and the frame construction rests on a concrete foundation and is covered with aluminum siding. The gable roof is covered with wood shakes and features a rear brick chimney. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. There has been a shed-roofed addition to the rear. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. This property was first built by Seventh Day Adventist Church for use as a church. At about the same time, property near Fort Ellis was also purchased. The building remained in church ownership until 1961. It is now used as a residence. This structure is an intrusive element within a potential historic district.
