PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structurelsite,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This two-story commercial structure has a rectangular plan with a projecting bay J
facade to one side enclosing the upper-level entry and having a carved date stone
above the arched entrance. The other bay has an off-center front entrance with
storefront windows. The upper level features three transomed 1/1 double-hung
windows, the middle one taller, all with corbelled brick arches and stone
banding forming sills and lintels. These have all been closed with sheet metal . '
The brick construction is painted and features a diagonal pattern below the
upper level windows and a detailed corbeled brick cornice. The flat-built-up I
roof is perpendicular to the street and the structure rests on a cut stone
` foundation. The asymmetrical commercial composition of the facade is a hallmark
of Queen Anne Commercial , one of a number of modes of Victorian architecture.

The International Order of Odd Fellows laid the cornerstone for the I .0.0. F.
1 Hall in 1891 . A street level hardware store occupied the building upon completion, and the lodge was located upstairs. A stone archway enframes
the street entrance to the lodge. Its decorative brickwork, corbeled parapet
and rusticated sandstone trim are common Victorian features. The asymmetrical
composition of the facade is a hallmark of Queen Anne Commercial , one of a
number of modes of Victorian architecture.
This structure is potentially eligible for the National Register because
of its historical significance and because of its architectural significance.

of original design and materials and continuity of use, setting and location.
