Main 1985 revision Matt Cohen, surveyor Built as an addition to the Hotel Baltimore as a small , 2-unit, 1-story commercial building for rental , this building is faced with ornamental brick- work to match the hotel . It may have been built the same year that the third story was added to the hotel , which was built in 1918 and expanded c. 1925. Bob Dunn, a former Gallatin County State legislator, was the owner of the hotel when both additions were made. The Sanborn Map of 1927 shows what were probably the first two tenants in this small block: an auto accessory store in the east section, and a confectionary in the west. The east section later housed the Louise Cafe. The building is similar to the Bozeman Hotel annex across the street in that both stylistically match the main building, but were intended for additional revenue generation from a function unrelated to the main hotel building. (The Hotel Bozeman annex however, was built concurrently with the main hotel building. ) Bibliography Gardner Waite, interview, 9/5/85 Sanborn Map, 1927
