Grand Revision 1985 Probably built in 1950, the date of the water permit for this site, the Hope Lutheran Church is an interesting example of 1950's "Space Age" design. It replaced a frame, gable front Hope Lutheran Church on this site, shown on the 1927 Sanborn map, which in turn replaced a frame residence on the site, shown on the 1912 Sanborn map. The church is located within a two-block area which is occupied by seven of Bozeman's oldest church denominations. The Cockhill House across the street has served as the parsonage for about forty years. Bibliograv Sanborn Maps, 1912, 1927.
