Grand Revision 1985 This fine, early 20th century example of the Colonial Revival style was probably built by Warren W. Goodman, a lawyer, as a real estate venture. Though Goodman's name appears on the 1914 water and sewer permits for this site, his residence address is listed as 407 North Black (today 409 North Black) in the 1912-13 and 1916-17 city directories. By 1927, Dean C. Chaffin, manager of the northern Auto Co. was living here. In addition to its substantial individual architectural significance relative to Bozeman, the house is part of a cohesive streetscape of four very significant houses lining the west side of this block.
